YSB hosts the following fundraising events each year. We hope you’ll join with us to help promote youth programs, provide positive role modeling for our youth, and raise funds to support the mission of the DeKalb County Youth Service Bureau.
The Royal Children’s Ball – An Enchanted Evening for Children and Families
This is YSB’s largest event and will be held on Friday, March 15th, 2019 from 6-9pm. This event will be held at Altgeld Hall, NIU with anticipated attendance of 600. All proceeds from the event support YSB programming for youth.
The Royal Children’s Ball is open to all children and accompanying adults. From the moment the event starts at 6 PM, guests will be given the royal treatment featuring dancing, games, photos, raffles and pampering. Princesses, Knights, and Fairy God Mothers from storybooks and movies will greet and dance with the royal guest.
Magic shows, performance by Dance Dimensions, balloon animals, face painting will be offered, along with the Royal Salon hosted by Stephen Alan Salon. Kids can run the Royal Gauntlet, and do arts and crafts in a room that will also feature a movie. Light snacks and cakes by Sweet Dreams will be served, with the addition of a special appearance by Scoopie from Culver’s of Sycamore bringing tokens for frozen custard. DJ Dave Comstock will provide sweet tunes for dancing all night long.
Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased at the door. Special rates are available for purchasing 6 or more tickets. Call YSB for details. Cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted.
